Research Study Questions

How much time does the study require and how long will it last, if I participate?

There are three phases of the study. In each phase, participants will meet with the research team for 45 to 60 minutes. Participants will be scheduled between June and August 2018.

Do I get a Tremelo after participating in the study?

If you are accepted into the 2nd phase of the research study, we will create a device to your specifications. All 2nd phase participants will be able to keep their device once the study is complete.

Does the study cost me anything?

No. The cost of the research study is free.

Will I be compensated?

There is no financial compensation for this research study.

Who approved the study?

The study is approved by the California State University Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Tremelo Questions

Do I have to charge the device?

No. The device doesn’t have any electrical components so you do not need to charge it.

How much does the device weigh?

We are finalizing the dimensions of the device and expect the final product to weigh about one and a half pounds.

Can I purchase the device?

Not yet. However, you can join the pre-order list by signing up below.

Can I use the device if I have Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)?

Yes, as long as you have involuntary hand tremors. The Tremelo does not have any electrical components. 

How does the device work?

The Tremelo uses energy-absorption principles to counteract the tremor. Each device is customized to the user based on the frequency and amplitude of their tremor.

No. We’re building devices for arm, hand and finger tremors. We are in the process of developing devices to address different types of tremors.
