ABOUT THE TREMELO

Is the Tremelo right for me?

The Tremelo may help to reduce hand shaking caused by Essential Tremor. It does not help with Parkinson’s Disease or any other movement disorder. Do not use the Tremelo if you do not have Essential Tremor.

Is it guaranteed that Tremelo will stop the Essential Tremor in my hand?

No. It is not guaranteed that the Tremelo will work to reduce the Essential Tremor in your hand. 

Is the Tremelo FDA approved?

Yes. The Tremelo is registered with FDA as a Class 1 medical device.

How does the device work?

The Tremelo uses tuned-mass-damper principles to mechanically stabilize Essential Tremor. The device has weighted mass and springs that are triggered by vibration and counteract it by absorbing the tremor. This same technology is used to stabilize machinery from shaking and skyscrapers during high winds and earthquakes.

Is it only for arm and hand tremors?

Yes. The Tremelo was built specifically to counteract arm and hand tremors caused by Essential Tremor. We are in the processing of developing devices to address different types of tremors.

Does Tremelo work for finger tremor?

No. The Tremelo does not reduce finger tremor because the device does not extend mechanically to the fingers.

What material is the Tremelo made of?

The Tremelo device is made of nickel plated aluminum.

What activities can I do with the Tremelo?

The Tremelo is effective in various activities depending on the users. Therefore, you are recommended to try the Tremelo while performing as many daily activities as possible. 

If the device works for you, you may be able to eat and drink with a reduction of the Essential Tremor in your arm and hand. You may try other daily activities that are essential, such as writing, typing or applying makeup. 

We do not recommend the use of the Tremelo when handling dangerous tools or sharp objects, such as knives, scissors, etc.

Does the Tremelo require any electricity or batteries?

No. The device doesn’t have any electrical components. The Tremelo is battery-free.

How much does the device weigh?

The whole device weighs 1 lb and 5 oz.

Can I use the device if I have DBS?

Yes. The Tremelo does not have any electrical or magnetic components.

When you order the Tremelo, you will receive one (1) Tremolo device and two (2) black arm braces.

What forms of payment do you accept?

You can pay with a credit card.

How much does the Tremelo cost?$949.00

Do you take Medicare, Medicaid, or any insurance?

No. At this time, we do not have our system set up to work with Medicare, Medicaid, or any insurance.

Do you have a payment plan?

No. We do not have any form of payment plan. However, we do our best to make the Tremelo affordable with occasional promotions.

Do you have a reseller program?

No. We do not have have reseller program.

Do you have a referral rewards program?

No. We do not have a referral rewards program.

Can I try Tremelo in-person before purchase?

Yes! We are offering free demo devices through the Tremelo Clinic Pilot Program at participating medical clinics. You can try the Tremelo in-person and see if it is right for you. If you want your physician or occupational therapist to join the Pilot Program, please have them contact us. Please be advised that some clinics may require you to schedule an appointment and may have costs associated with your visit.

What is your Return Policy?

If you decide that the Tremelo is not for you, you have 30 days to return the Tremelo and receive a full refund. Call us at 559.770.2002 or send us an email at info@fivemicrons.com. We will send you a return label via email form UPS. Simply tape the return label on the box and place the items back inside the box. Take the box to the nearest UPS store. You will be fully refunded when we receive the device.

How do I know what size I am?

We take in multiple factors to make sure you receive the correct size, such as your height, weight and the circumference of your wrist. Measure the circumference of your arm right below your wrist bone. Please review the size chart below for wrist measurement.

Can I purchase more than one Tremelo?

Yes. If you purchase two Tremelos in the same order, you’ll receive $100 off your total cost. 

Can I purchase the arm brace separately?

Can I customize the color of the Tremelo or arm brace?

No. We currently have only a silver color for the Tremelo and a black color for the arm brace. 

What if I need to cancel or modify my order?

HOW TO USE TREMELO

How do I turn the Tremelo on and off?

There is no on/off button. The Tremelo automatically responds when the tremor occurs after you put the device on your arm.

How do I wear the Tremelo?

Simply put on your hand through the black arm brace. You can fasten or loosen the brace to make sure it fits comfortably on our arm. Align and connect the Tremelo device’s dial on to the socket of the brace with the logo “5” facing outward. Gently press down on the dial and the device will click into place. I received my Tremelo. How do I know which arm the Tremelo goes on? 

Look at the bottom of the arm brace and you will see an “R” for right arm or “L” for left arm. 

How do I know if the Tremelo works for me?

To know if the Tremelo works for you, you should notice an immediate reduction in your hand tremor after wearing the device for at least a few minutes. If you do not feel an immediate improvement, try the device privately when you are alone, relaxed and calm so you feel comfortable and confident. Try the device for a week doing various activities.

I’m wearing the Tremelo but why does it not work for me?

The Tremelo may not be strong enough to overcome the severity of the Essential Tremor in your hand.

The Tremelo only helps with Essential Tremor. It does not work for Parkinson’s Disease or any other movement disorders.

Can I use one Tremelo for both my right and left arms?

No. The device is designed only for one arm. For example, if you purchase a device for your left arm, you can only use it for your left arm. It will not be as effective for your right arm.

If I have two separate Tremelos for my left and right arms, can I wear the devices on both arms at the same time?

Yes. Tremelo devices work independently from each other.

HOW TO CARE

How do I clean the Tremelo?

Wipe the device with a soft towel or regular disinfectant wipes. Handwash the arm brace following the instructions in the User Guide included in your order. Air dry the arm brace by hanging it. Is the Tremelo waterproof?

The device should not be submerged under water. However, it is splash proof. This means the Tremelo can get slightly wet on the outside surface. We highly encourage you to wear a large glove over the Tremelo when you shower.

Can children wear the Tremelo?

No. The Tremelo is designed to fit adult arms and hands.

How long should the Tremelo last?

The Tremelo is expected to last you for more than 10 years. 

Can I wear clothes over the Tremelo?

The sleeve of your shirt, jacket or sweater must be able to stretch over the Tremelo to refrain from damaging the device or harming yourself.

How long can I wear the Tremelo?

Only wear the Tremelo when you need to accomplish an activity. This allows your arm to rest.

Can I fold the Tremelo to make it easier to carry and travel with?

Yes. The Tremelo can be folded compactly. 

Does the Tremelo affect my pacemaker/difilibrator?

No. Tremelo doesn’t have any electronic or magnetic components. Therefore, it doesn’t affect any other electronic devices.

WARRANTY

What is the warranty for the Tremelo?

The Tremelo has a two (2) year warranty that covers the device’s defects and malfunctions under ordinary consumer use. The warranty applies on the day you receive the device. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damages due to misuse or neglect, including the following defects:

  • dropping
  • liquid damage
  • force damage
  • extreme temperature damage
  • modifications, disassembly or repairs performed by anyone other than Five Microns
